Welcome

The Guard Your Life-Drive Alert on I-75 safety campaign is promoting safe driving behaviors with the goal of reducing traffic crashes and deaths along the I-75 corridor. The Florida Department of Transportation, along with numerous public and private entities including The Florida Trucking Association, are combining efforts to raise safety awareness and educate drivers through the use of websites, Public Service Announcements (PSA's), billboards, posters, "Guard Your Life" safety packets, and promotional items.

Ten Helpful Driving Tips

  1. Buckle Up
  2. Don't Speed
  3. Don't Tailgate
  4. Don't Drink and Drive
  5. Don't Drive Drowsy
  6. Use Your Turn Signals
  7. DRIVE ALERT!
  8. Keep Your Eyes on the Road!

When on local roads,

  1. Stop on Red
  2. Watch for Walkers

ALL MOTORISTS SHOULD CHECK THEIR TIRES (including the spare) BEFORE EMBARKING ON A VACATION JOURNEY. The risk of a serious crash during hot weather can be heightened by tires that are worn out, under-inflated, or too old (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration).
